Jamf is an Apple Enterprise Management solution that remotely connects, manages, and protects Apple users, devices, and services.
Typically all operating systems provide interfaces for anyone to build these device management systems. Apple did have their own Apple Business Manager and Apple School Manager to manage small and medium businesses and schools but they were limited in use cases.

Found an existing ecosystem with exponential growth (Apple devices) and built enterprise management software around it
Focusing all R&D and engineering resources on rapid macOS, and iOS feature support
Built the largest community called Jamf nation around their product by bringing in IT admins from more than 50000 companies
